Andrew Tate Renounced Crypto- Only to Pitch His Coin
Despite the ‘most renowned’ man’s Bitcoin being seized, he is considering minting his token.
Andrew Tate suggested unveiling his crypto token on X (formerly Twitter), supported by $100M of his funds. However, he erased the pitch after heavy criticism.
In the summer of 2023, the famous misogynist and suspected human trafficker renounced crypto. According to a tweet, he noted that he has nothing to do with crypto. He also claimed that, different from other ‘influencers,’ he is not a scammer and does not attempt to steal from his followers.
Tate Tense Relationship Manifests Amid Pitching for Own Token
Tate has experienced a tense relationship with cryptocurrency, specifically Bitcoin. He based a considerable part of his public identity on extreme wealth partly established by investing in Bitcoin.
As Tate faced prosecution for human trafficking and rape, Romanian officials took hold of millions of dollars in luxury vehicles, homes, costly watches, and 21 Bitcoin. According to a report, he could still recoup 21 of the seized Bitcoin, and he currently seems to embrace the idea of his coin.
Tate’s currently-erased pitch for a coin, which he notes he will ‘never sell,’ revealed he would support it with $100M. It also stated he would provide early access and a discount to members of his alleged ‘university.’
Tate Vows Advocacy for Crypto Amid Hypocrisy in Earlier Opposition
Tate promised that since he was the most renowned person alive, he would promote the coin everywhere and permit people to make money. Additionally, he said that receiving 50,000 retweets would motivate him to promote the coin.
It remains unclear whether the goal was made before the post’s removal. However, this announcement echoed across crypto Twitter. Some degens supported it, while others questioned his obvious hypocrisy. Memes were also there.
Tate later posted another message alerting his followers to sign up for his email newsletter. Via a cryptic message, he said he would not explain, and action takers would find out.
